Good Training Practices
-
Make sure that you have all the correct equipment before
you leave home.
-
Make sure all your equipment is clearly marked with your
name.
-
Always bring a drink to training.
-
Be punctual. Your coach expects you to be in the water
ready to go at the start time for your session.
-
Use correct starts and turns during training sessions.
-
Start and finish each length at the wall, not halfway
down the pool.
-
Do not stand up during a length as this creates chaos
for other swimmers in your lane – keep swimming.
-
When you have finished a set, move out of the way so the
rest of your group can also finish.
-
If you need to leave a session early, this should be
agreed with you coach prior to the start of the session.
-
Coaches expect everyone to listen to instructions.
Any problems
can be discussed with the coaches at a suitable time agreed
upon by both parties. Please do not approach coaches during
training sessions.
